Jory T.B.W.

Jory T.B.W. - born Jory Taylor Beebe, later Welch, in NW Ohio on February 20th, 1991 - is a self-taught traditional/digital artist, electronic music instrumentalist, photographer and research writer. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who was a Machine Gunner from 2009-2013. His art experiments with abstraction through form, color, the spatial relationships between curved and straight lines, and sacred geometry. Since around New Year's of 2018, he has created the art of the Composition Series, which is currently the primary art project in focus. His frequented traditional mediums currently include cardstock, mixed media paper, metallic pens, gel pens, markers (Croma/Ohuhu/Bianyo/Copic), marker pens, colored-pencils, various shape templates, a compass and ink pens. Digital mediums mainly include the use of Cinema 4D and Adobe Photoshop with various filter-effect software. He studied art - reading various art-based reference books - from 2014-2016 beforehand and drew characters from Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Dragon Ball in his teenage years in the 2000s. He also collects video games as creative inspiration and additionally creates gaming content on YouTube. Musically he has created instrumentals using DAWs since 2005. He is not a traditionally trained musician and creates music by ear. From his paternal side, he is of Cree Native Indian, African American, Scottish-Irish, German, French, Swiss, Belgian, Dutch and Welsh ancestry. From his maternal side Swedish, French-Canadian, German, Swiss and Spanish ancestry; and possibly Turkish (Trabzon), with Jewish and Viking heritage (St. Malo, France). Previously he has lived in Colorado and southern California, and currently resides in NE Ohio.
